Zac's POV

If I could have one day where I wasn't being pulled in ten different directions, I'd die a happy man. Ever since I signed on for this stupid musical it's been Zac this and Zac that.

"Zac, you're needed in make-up!"

"Zac, you're up next for an interview"

"Zac, you're needed on the set!"

"Zac, we need to go over the dance number one more time".

It never ends. What did I get myself into?

"Zac…photo shoot!"

Ugh! Leave me alone people!

Finally my day is over and I collapse into bed.

I wish just once, I could wake up and do something different.

Troy's POV

Everyday it's the same thing…the same routine. Wake up, go to school, play basketball, do homework, more basketball, eat dinner, finish homework, and then go to bed and start all over again. I wonder what would happen if I mixed it up a bit. For instance, what if I didn't do my homework one day, or didn't play basketball one day…. would it really be that bad?

Dad says kids thrive on routine, but not me…I want to live and have some excitement! I met this girl Gabriella over the winter break and the wildest thing I did was sing karaoke with her and it was so… so… spontaneous, and it felt great…there I was Troy Bolton, singing my heart out with a girl I'd never met before and I felt ALIVE!

I'm laying in bed now, tomorrow I'll be back at school with Winter break being over and it's back to the same thing.

I wish just once, I could wake up and do something different.
