What's in a Name?
Author's Note: Anyone else ever look at the Yu-Gi-Oh Shipper's List and raise an eyebrow at the names given to pairings? What makes Mokuba and Anzu box-like? Well, I've decided to explore some pairings, sort of figure out their names. The first Shipping I'm looking at is Tendershipping. What makes the pairing of Ryou with his yami, tender? I'm taking this from Ryou's point-of-view, by the way. Next pairing planned is Prideshipping. So, without further ado, What's in a Name: Tender!
You know, the defining moments in our relationship aren't during sex, or even before it. He likes to warm up to the sounds of me screaming. He likes to have at me brutally. But that's not what it's all about. I swear, it's afterwards, when he's done getting out all that anger, that you can see the real him.
He makes a point of being gentle after he's been rough. He goes to the bathroom, gets a wet washcloth, then comes back to wash me off. He's careful when wiping around a wound, especially one that he gave me. Then, when he crawls back into bed, with that satisfied look on his face, and he holds me.
I know, I know. It's still not fair that he's so brutal. But if that's what it takes to get him to be tender, well, I'm fine with it.
