Sirius Dog Issues
By: Tres Hott Guys and an Ass
Prologue
Harry James Potter sat on his bed in an emotionless state. He finally just felt numb to the world. He lost everything, his parents, his friends and his godfather. Though, he wouldn't believe the last two were true. It wasn't his fault that Sirius' death affected him in such a negative. The three friends that still talked to him were Hermione, Ginny and Remus, even though he talked to Remus more than the other two. (Seeing as he was living at his house.) There was a knock on the door but Harry didn't bother to answer. He knew it was Remus. "What do you what do you want now?" Harry asked in an uncaring way.
"I was just coming to tell you that dinner's ready. I know you're not coming down but the Weasleys and Hermione are here and they really want to see you." Remus said calmly through the door, not bothering to open it. Sirius' dead came as a shock to everyone especially to Remus and Harry. Remus had hoped by having Harry near him they could comfort each other. Remus worried for Harry more than anything else in the world. He was the only family he had left, given that his parents had abandoned him and his friends were dead or traitors.
"I'm not coming down. Just have Hermione or Ginny bring up some food later." Harry said. He felt bad for treating Remus this way but it was the only way that he could make sure he wouldn't be hurt as much. He loved Remus with all his heart but he couldn't go though it again.
"Ok Harry. If you need to talk, you know where I am." Remus told him and walked away.
Harry sighed and went to sleep. He was awoken by another knock at the door. This time is was Hermione.
"Harry, I brought some food up for you like you asked. Can I come in or should I just slide it though the slot?" she asked knowing Harry could hear her.
"Sure come in, if you really want to." Harry replied.
Hermione opened the door, sat the food down by Harry and told a seat by Harry's desk. "So, are you feeling any better? You are coming on vacation with us still right?"
"Why should I? Ron will constantly make fun of me and the others, except you, Ginny and Remus, will ignore me. I don't see the point in going." Harry said blanking staring at her.
"I don't know. I mean, it would mean a lot to Remus. He has been more depressed since you've withdrawn from everyone. Have you even seen him lately? He looks a lot older. It was bad enough when he just had to worry about Voldemort and his transformations. Now he has a 15 year-old boy to take care of and he just lost his last best friend. Please, cut him a little slack." Hermione stated, truly worried about Remus' wellbeing.
"I know but why can't you guys cut me any slack? I mean, Remus is the only one I have left. Everyone is acting like I have to be the adult. It's just not fair any more." Harry told her.
"Well you know what Harry, everything can't always go your way. Life isn't easy. We're not asking for you to do anything drastic. Just help Remus and he can help you." Hermione got up and walked towards the door. "One day you're going to realize that the world doesn't revolve around you. When you finally figure this out, I think you're going to be a lot happier. So come get me when you're ready to really talk." With that, she walked out slamming the door behind her.
'Great.' Harry thought. 'I've now just pushed another friend again.'
'Why am I in the Department of Mysteries? Where is everyone? Weren't we just fight Voldemort?' he thought. He tried to open his mouth but only a bark came out. 'Why can't I talk?' He looked down and saw that he was in his animgus form. He tried to transform but he couldn't. He gasped or whatever dogs do that is like gasping.
Sirius Black was alive but in the shape of a dog.
