As if Not today.(an AltMal fanfic)
I've just came back from my mission, entering the bureau only getting a not so very kind greeting.
"Ah, back with him off already? Why so soon,novice?" Malik said with a sarcastic voice.
"Why so soon? i could've been back before this." I said, not seeming like i've had a enjoyable time."Anyway, here it is."
I held out the feather in my hand with a seemed confused in a way, in a way that he knew why i was giving a course, he questioned me anyway.
"Altair, why are you giving such a uh, how do i say, a nasty grin?" It wasn't really a nasty one, but, a quite amusing one.
"I just wanted to give a kind grin, is there a problem with that, novice?" Malik paused. He gave me a unamused look. Probably a bit pissed because i called him what he usually calls me, a novice.
"...I-I..." He snatched the feather away from my hand. I smirked again. "Surprised at all, novice?" I teased.
"Why would I be considered a novice, novice?" He questioned me. "Well, aren't you the beginner,brother?" He gave a little chuckle.
I gave him a confused look in return.
"...Please, a beginner is a beginner. Just forget it," He paused and gave me a grin. "Novice." I glared at him. "Well, get some sleep."
He said to me, surprisingly, in a kind, calm voice. I shook my head and did so.
I woke up earlier than usual, but pretended to be asleep. I saw Malik looking at me from the entrance. "...Your still a novice,"
He paused with a small grin. "But, you are still my brother." He glared at me and walked over. I stood still, still acting as if I was sat down next to me. I shivered,as he continued to glare. "Cold at all?" More like a bit nervous, waiting to see what he would do.
A few minutes later, he still thought i was sleeping, but i did pass out after the long 8 turned out, he was sleeping next to me, resting his head on my lap. I woke up seeing so, i glared but then gave him a small chuckle.
"As if not today, brother," I rested my hand on his head. "As if not today." I thought to myself these few words.
"I would've never guessed this would happen the next day, the next day where i confessed, and you did as well."
I fell asleep, with my hand on his head, while he was resting it on my lap. I gave off a little blush, then fell asleep thinking the words repeatedly in my head.
"As if not Today, i wouldn't have said,I love you."
