This takes place in an alternate universe. Kira wins, but in a different way. Instead of winning at the meeting at the end of the series, Kira wins by killing everyone on the task force and SPK when he got a different opportunity, EXCEPT for Near, who will be important later in the story.

This takes place two years after Kira wins.

"This, this, person, who does he think he is?" Flip said to himself. "I understand that he is now supposed to be the 'God' of a new world, but this man has done some messed up stuff!"

RING RING RING RING RING!

"Alright class, that's the bell, now class has started." Ms. Hitachi said. "Yesterday we simply talked about what Kira's place is in the world, but today, we shall have a brief idea of what his life is."

"Great" Flip thought. "Now we have to talk about history in Kira Studies!"

Flip knew Kira Studies would not be that hard, as his dad has told him basically everything, but he knew it would boring as heck.

"No one knows what happened in Kira's history. All we know is that he was born in 1990. We don't even know how he or anyone ever got hold of a death note."

Same, same thing his dad said.

"We do know that the ICPO, a organization against crime, hired L to investigate the case. Much later, he was punished by Kira for his awful deeds."

Same, same thing his dad said.

"Kira was also very clever. He tricked FBI agents horribly investigating against him to write their names in the Death Note. And even more clever, the only way he was able to kill L was by tricking a Shinigami, a god of death, to kill L.

Same, same thing his dad said.

"Remember, we must all help Kira in his quest to kill the evil Near!"

This Near kid just sounds like one of those protestors who come with literally any idea to protest, Flip thought.

"This is why we always must say: 'Kira, libera nos Near'. You all have been saying that for a long time now, right?"

Everyone in the class said "Kira, libera nos Near", including Flip, due to peer pressure.

"Good."

RING RING RING RING RING!

"Alright, no homework. You are all dismissed."

Thank goodness, Flip thought. Now Kira Studies, and school for today, is all over.

While Flip was walking back to his locker, he was reminded of the second worst thing only to Kira: Being a Freshman.

"Alright, alright, alright, NERD!" Joe said while his idiot senior buddies were laughing.

"I told you, I was forced to take Kira Studies by my dad!"

"Yeah, but you have to be an ultra NERD to take Kira Studies the second you get the opportunity!"

Ughhh, Flip thought.

"Welp, it's time for you to enter the geek squad headquarters: Your own locker!"

Flip was shoved into a locker.

"Now I see why that Kira exists, to kill the criminals who don't shove people into lockers."

Later, Flip was at home talking to his dad.

"It's only the second day of school, and you don't like Kira Studies?"

"Kira Studies, is, well, boring."

"Yes, but if you want to become a Circle Member like me, you have to work hard and learn all about our Saviour, Kira."

"I understand…"

Flip used to live a nice, happy life in the US, but when his father became the Circle Member of Japan, his family had to move there.

The next day, Flip was standing right in front of his school. He could see the name of the school "School of Kira". The school was made as a high school for people to learn about Kira and become a person pious in the Kira religion. But what Flip did not know, was that today was going to be different. In more ways than one.
