I do not own Harukanaru Toki no Naka de or its characters, they belong to Mizuno Tooko. If I did own it, I'd have Yasuaki and Eisen fall in love with each other.
This fic was inspired by a fanart on Deviantart called Yasuaki and Eisen, the artist was nicki-22. It's a very cute fanart and just begged for an adorable Yasusen fic!
Yasuaki and Eisen accepted the strawberry ice-cream cones from the vendor and went to find somewhere peaceful to sit down and enjoy it. Yasuaki had already licked his ice-cream, he savoured the taste of the frozen dessert on his tongue. He didn't know why, but such a treat did manage to please him and his tastebuds.
Eisen had a slight lick of his own ice-cream and was about to have another when someone bumped into him, causing him to accidentally let go of the treat in his hand. With a cry of alarm, the young monk watched as the cone fell to the ground.
Yasuaki also witnessed it happening. He wished he could've caught it for his partner in time, especially after hearing Eisen let out little sniffs.
The poor monk had tears in his eyes as he mourned the loss of the delicious dessert treat. He only got one lick, it wasn't fair at all! The tears flowed faster and he let out an audible sob.
Yasuaki glanced at his ice-cream, then at Eisen's as it sat there on the ground, numerous ants crawling towards it. The sob helped him make his decision. He held the cone out to his partner. "Don't cry, Eisen. You can have mine."
Eisen wiped his eyes. "Are...are you sure, Yasuaki-dono?"
The onmyouji nodded. "Mondai nai."
Eisen accepted the cone and smiled. "Thank you very much, Yasuaki-dono. You're very kind to me."
"I care about you very much. I do not like to see you crying." He took hold of the hand his partner had free of anything, such as cones that held delicious frozen desserts, and walked beside him as they continued to seek out a peaceful place to sit, only this time, more to enjoy the time they were spending together, rather than the ice-cream itself.
