Untouchable
By: Juki
In the blink of an eye – eleven years.
In a breath – I am captivated.
To hear the song that was never sung.
To know the words that was never told.
To feel denial like a second skin.
To walk on water and sink in sand.
To love someone without a heart.
In the blink of an eye – twelve years.
For a moment – thought time had stopped.
To hear the cries in the stillness of the night
To know that I am bleeding without a wound.
To feel the pain from yesterday.
To walk as a shadow in the dark.
To love to hate and love again.
In the blink of an eye – thirteen years.
In the repercussion of the body rush.
To hear the beat of a dying heart.
To know how to count the days until then.
To feel the strain of mortal emotions.
To walk free from the demands of love.
To love...
Year by year, thought to be closer to you.
Through age that I could rise above.
Yet the closer I draw,
You manage to walk a step away.
A step away from fulfilling a dream,
But what of that?
To understand that...you are untouchable. Bittersweet.
