Maxon's POV

Father has been pressuring me about the end of the selection lately. It's now down to Celeste, Kriss and America. So, I told him that I would chose. But, I did happen to leave out the tiny detail that it was the girl he hates. I start walking towards America's room.

I knock on her door and she answers it looking more beautiful than ever.

"Maxon!", she says surprised. "Come in!"

I walk in the little box in my left pocket feeling heavier with each step.

I kiss her passionately. "Oh, America", I say.
