Eren couldn't believe it, yet as the rain pour down on him he could see it plain as day. She was dead…If he hadn't charged in, if he just would of taken the time to help his comrades then maybe, just maybe she would still be here with him. But no, Mikasa was dead. The broken mutilated body that was in front of him was all that was left of his best friend, his secret crush, his only family…The bloody scene replayed in his head. Her voice calling out to him as the titan grabbed her. Her screams in agony as the giant squeeze her body to keep her from escaping. But was stayed with him were her last words. The last words she spoke to him as the titan slowly brought her closer to his disfigure mouth. She could have called for help to make him snap out of his trance but no. She only spoke the worlds that brought nothing but pain into his heart. He always knew she thought of him as more than a brother, but he didn't know they had shared the same feelings. Her words kept echoing in his skull as his eyes began to burn.
He couldn't comprehend it. He was paralyzed and the only thing he kept mumbled was; "why? Why her?" He knew the risks yet he never dreamed of the day she would die, especially out of his carelessness. He couldn't tell if he was crying, the rain falling upon him made it impossible for him to even notice.
It took all off his strange to force himself to move toward her body, or what was left of it anyway. As he got closer the teen fell upon his knees. His eyes have never witness such horror. His mind couldn't comprehend it yet, no matter how many times the image of her getting eaten replayed in his head. He felt lost, scare just as the day he witness his mother's end.
Eren's hands began to tremble as he picked her mangled body up. She was so light. He held her as if she was the most delicate thing in the world as he spoke. "Ple-please don't leave me. Please." Tears were streaming down his face as he buried his head against her shoulder and mumbled the words he wished she could hear. "I love you too..."
