Red.
Red liquid dripped down from the small cut on her arm. The pain didn't bother her, she had gotten used to it after so many times. Rather, she basked in the feeling of relief that washed over her. It was these times that she could momentarily forget about everything. Get away from everything. Just for a few minutes.
Red heart.
Her heart squeezed again. An ice fist closed over the little organ, making her blood run cold. She desperately tried to forget, but she couldn't. Her traitorous mind replayed the scene over and over like a broken record.
"I love you."
"I love you too Soul."
Red eyes.
She saw it, how his eyes would sparkle and glaze over. The signs were ridiculously obvious. It baffled her how even he didn't know about it.
The thought saddened her, how his feelings suddenly came back to him. How quickly it took him to have a change of heart, immediately forgetting the one person that cared for him the most.
It hurt her.
It hurt.
