My name is Allen Boldheart. I am 15 years old. I am a 17th generation wizard, which means that my dad was a wizard, his dad was a wizard, his dad was a wizard, and etcetera, etcetera. Well, anyway, as you could probably tell, I have wizardry in my blood. And I'm on my way to getting my own island and I'm going to make it the best dragon island there ever was in the sky.

"Allen! Hurry up! You're going to miss the ceremony!" My mom shouted at me. "I know Mom! I'm ready, I just need to get dressed," I shouted back. I got my favorite crimson shirt and blue jeans, and, I put a royal purple cape on around my collar to signify the magic in my blood. I ran out the door and dashed as fast as I could down the stairs and past my pet Opal Dragon hatchling, Vesuvius who was a gift from my dad.

As I ran out the door, I faced palmed and dashed back inside and grabbed Vesuvius. "Can't forget you, little buddy," I said to him. I sprinted back outside and jumped into my family's balloon. "Bye Mom!" I yelled. "Bye Allen!" she yelled back. I opened my palm and concentrated. A bright scarlet flame appeared in my hand and it grew.

The balloon filled up with air and slowly but surely began to rise into the clouds. "Well, Vesuvius, here we go! It's our big day! I can finally learn magic other than fire and water, and I can get my own island! And as for you, I can finally get enough treats to get you to an adolescent!" I exclaimed to my dragon. He jumped up and down in my arms and turned an excited shade of golden yellow. I laughed.

A few minutes later, a giant floating island came into view. "This is it, bud!" I remarked. When the balloon came to a stop, I extinguished the flame in my hand. It slowly descended onto the island. I hopped out and tied the balloon to a heavy stone. I took a deep breath and took a look around the island. It had an entrance portal {But seriously, who takes those anymore?}, and it also had a large coliseum in the center.

I could hear cheering and clapping coming from the coliseum. Vesuvius jumped excitedly out of my arms and ran around in circles. "I know, Ves, I know! I'm excited too," I replied to my dragon. I took another deep breath and followed the Opal Dragon into the coliseum. This was really it.
