Checklist
The smells, the noises, the feel of the sheets. Dean knew where he was without opening his eyes.
He did a quick mental check.
Sammy? Check. He could hear him talking outside.
Massive pressure on his side making it hurt to breathe? Check.
Dean's eyes flickered open.
"Dean, you're awake! How you feeling?"
"Like a spirit hurled me into a gravestone."
"Yeah, you broke a couple of ribs. Concussion. Doc said you should be up and about soon though."
"Super." Dean winced as he tried to move. "Say Sammy? Did we get it?"
Sam smiled.
"Yeah man, we got it."
