A/N: HEY GUYS! So here's the first chapter of the new Our Little Girl. I have completely changed how Sammy's parents died and I will also be changing how she comes about going to the stay with Bella and Edward. Most of this story will stay relatively the same way as it was before but some things will change. I really hope that you all enjoy this re-write and if you don't that's okay. I've been working hard on how I want this story to play out since I decided to do a re-write and I think it will turn out a lot better than it did last time. Please review and tell me what you think because I don't get better without the helpful reviews that tell me what I could improve on. Over and out-EmmyBear101.

Today had started out just like any other. I was working in Emergency at the hospital, it was just the normal stuff, old ladies coming in with chest pain, teen boys with concussion from their roughhousing, infants swallowing things they aren't suppose to, simple stuff with easy fixes. I was just finishing up with a patient who had an ear infection when my father walked into emergency.

"Son, good to see you, how's it going down here?," Dad asked picking up one of the clipboards from the file rack and looking it over. "I see Ms. Clark is in again," He looked up at me with a pointed look.

"She's been here twice this week and it's only Tuesday," I said. Ms. Clark is a recently single mother of a two-year-old toddler. She's been coming in to the emergency ever since the divorce was final and flirting with me. I brush it off with a smile and look over her daughter, who is perfectly fine and send her off with an appointment to her pediatrician.

"Want me to take this one?," Dad asked even though he was still smiling. I glared at him but nodded and grabbed another clipboard. Dad went into the room but not before giving me one last smile. I glared at the door of the exam room as it closed, and once it was fully shut I sighed and looked at the file rack. There wasn't any patients yet so I decided to take a break and grab a cup of coffee and send a quick text to my wife Bella. When I walked back into emergency, dad was just coming out of the exam room with Ms. Clark and her daughter. I jumped behind the door so that she couldn't see me.

"Thank-you so much Dr. Cullen, and please tell your son I'm so sorry I missed him," Ms. Clark said.

"Well just make sure Lily doesn't get into anymore cabinets and I recommend getting baby locks for all low cupboards and drawers," Dad said. Nothing else was said and when I saw Ms. Clark walked out of exit doors I walked around the door and back over to the file rack where dad was.

"Nice hiding spot son," Dad said not looking up from the computer. I sighed and just kept my mouth shut. Dad chuckled and handed me the next patient's information.

My shift was almost over when my pager went off. There were two ambulances coming in with car accident victims both in critical condition. I was rushed to be prepped for surgery as soon as I stepped into Emerg. The paramedics rushed through the surgery room doors with a woman on a stretcher.

"25 year old victim, has punctured left lung, isn't responsive," one of the paramedics said as the transferred the woman to the operating table. My team and I got to work quickly trying to stop the bleeding.

I walked out of the locker after cleaning up from the surgery. The woman had passed while we were working on her lung due to brain bleeding that the paramedics had not caught. During the surgery I had been informed that the male patient had died shortly after they were brought in. It was always hard on me when I lost one of my patients but it was a cost of the job.

I began walking towards the waiting room to inform the woman's family whom had arrived just over an hour ago. When I walked into the waiting room I was only met by a young woman and a child sitting beside her. The woman looked up as I walked in and stood up. She said something to the child before walking over to me.

"Are you the doctor who was working on Missy," She asked.

"I'm Dr. Cullen," I said reaching a hand to her.

"Courtney, I'm Missy and Jordan's friend," She said shaking my hand. "Can you tell me how they are I've been here for almost and hour and no one has told me anything yet,". I looked at her and by the look on her face I could tell that she knew what I was about to say. "No, no this couldn't have happened, they were always so careful,". She sank into the chair behind her and I noticed the little girl stand up.

"I'm sorry for your lose," I said and rubbed her arm as she sobbed into her hands.

"Auntie Courtney?," A voice asked. I looked to my left to see a small child, no more than 6-years-old. "Courtney where are mommy and daddy?". Tears began to pool in her deep brown eyes as she watched the woman sob in front of her. Courtney looked up at the child and pulled her into a hug. Both girls began sobbing. I wanted to comfort them but I had to get back to work, so with a quick I'm sorry I walked back into Emerg to fill out the paperwork for the woman to be sent down to the morgue.
