Having no time to think, I pushed her out of my way. It had never hit me that she could've taken the attack with her body, or that we could've been saved together.
No, I had only a split second to think as I saw the attack close in on juvia.
My instincts snapped in. Her body hit the floor below mine, protected from the incoming danger. My body steeled with relief as I armed myself for the incoming attacks. The attack hit my chest cleanly. At first it felt numb, maybe it missed? But then I saw the faces of juvia, lyon and meredy. They looked up to me with faces torn in grief and tears. Juvia especially. Her tears were streaming down her face as she looked at me in surprise and shock. Heh? I thought looking down. No. this couldn't be my body. Surely my body cant be filled with,,,,holes? Then, something hit my head. Pain burst through me, everywhere. I couldn't even comprehend the pain because everything was suddenly calm and quite. My vision and hearing clouded with black as I wondered what was happening. But now, it didn't matter because I was calm. Thoughts faded from my mind along with my senses. My body went to rest.
