I Love You

Me: First Hetalia fic! More are coming! I no own Hetalia, enjoy!

Taiwan was late.
She had been due to be back 3 hours ago. "Where is she? I hope nothing bad happened..." Hongkong muttered under his breath.
He figured that he might as well go to sleep, seeing that it was already 9:00, and he had to go to a World Meeting tomorrow.

'DING DING DING DING DING!' 'RING-A DING DING!' It was the sound of the worst creature known to man: the alarm clock. Hongkong turned to see what time it was. 6:00. There was still a few hours until the world meeting.

Hongkong decided that he would go check on Taiwan. He quietly opened the door to her room. No one was there.

"Taiwan? Where are you?" No answer. He tried again. "If this is a joke to scare me, it's working! You can come out now, Taiwan!" No one answered, or laughed, as Taiwan would. Hongkong was very worried now. "Maybe Taiwan decided to arrive early at the World Meeting!" Hongkong exclaimed hopefully. He walked with long strides and very quickly towards the building where they held the World Meeting. As he did so, Hongkong heard his phone ring. He quickly answered, hoping that it was Taiwan.

"Hello, Hongkong!" It was China calling.

"China, Taiwan didn't come back last night, and she still isn't here."

"Really?"

"Yes, I think that she decided to arrive early at the World Meeting."

"Ai ya, I'm at the World Meeting right now, with everyone else who has arrived early, but Taiwan isn't here."

"Where do you think she might be?" Hongkong asked.

"Perhaps... she went on a walk? If she did, Taiwan will arrive at the World Meeting soon, and then you can see her- BI ZUI, AUSTRIA!"
(A/N: In other words, shut up, Austria. In Chinese)

"What happened?"

"Austria kept on talking about how great he is at playing the piano..." From the background, Hongkong heard Austria yell, "See? You admit it!" "How?" China asked. "You used the word is!" Austria exclaimed.

"Bye!" Hongkong didn't want to hear the rest of the argument.

America was suggesting that the countries make a giant hero to save the world from global warming. "You know that global warming thing that everyone's talking about? Well, how about we use a hero to save the world?..."

Hongkong listened halfheartedly. He hadn't seen Taiwan anywhere, and the meeting was halfway through.

Over in the European side of the room, England had a guilty look on his face. Hongkong didn't notice that, though. He was too busy worrying.

It was time for a break.

"Hongkong!" Hongkong spun around. England was running to catch up with him. "Yes?" England looked down. "About Taiwan..." This caught Hongkong's attention... and suspicion. "What about her...?" "Well, last night, I was driving back home after arguing with France and America for a while... and it was dark! I didn't see her, and, and, well, you know... I'm really sorry, Hongkong!" England started sobbing out of nowhere. Hongkong just stared at England, thoughts of anger and sorrow racing through his mind so rapidly that he couldn't think straight. After a few minutes, that stare became a cold glare. "And you think that simply apologizing will help?!" "Well, no, I don't think so, bu-" England's sentence was interrupted by... death. The widower lowered his sword and raced out of the building.

Of course, every Eastern Asian was at Taiwan's funeral, and a few others. On the other hand, very few even bothered to attend "Iggy's" funeral.
At the end of the funeral, everyone attending watched a security camera's film. Apparently, they figured out Taiwan's last words.

' I love you, Hongkong.'

I love you.
