This would be for 'Flower Challenge.'
Arthur knew that Molly didn't want anything for her birthday but he just couldn't bring himself to give her nothing. What kind of husband would he be if he didn't give her anything? He would feel horrible for doing it, especially when she had given him a muggle light bulb for his birthday. The thing was though, he couldn't figure out exactly what he wanted to get her.
After a few days of thinking, he came to the conclusion that he would get her something that wasn't too big or too small. He wanted to give her something that was from the whole family. Surely that would satisfy his need to get her a birthday present, right?
Once his mind came up blank for the umpteenth time, Arthur decided that he would take a stroll in Diagon Alley and see if anything caught his eye. There had to be something there that would make a perfect gift for Molly, right? Taking his coat from the closet, he told his wife where he was going, kissed her on the cheek and apparated to Diagon Alley. The first place he stopped at was the flower shop. Flowers were something he knew that Molly absolutely adored.
Walking around the shop, Arthur couldn't help but to notice how beautiful all the flowers were. How was he supposed to pick one out if he couldn't even decide which one he liked the most?
"Do you need help, sir?" An elder woman inquired, making Arthur jump from the unexpected voice.
"Yes, I'm trying to pick out something for my wife's birthday." Arthur replied, relief evident in his voice. Help was exactly what he needed.
"Ok, what is it that you're looking for?" The women asked as she walked closer to Arthur.
"That's the thing, I'm not really sure. I wanna get her something that means something." Arthur replied as he, again, took a look at the flowers surrounding him. The women that owned the shop took a few seconds to think about what she had heard and then walked across the room, hoping to find what she was looking for. She knew exactly what the nice man was in need of without even knowing who his wife was. Once she found the flowers she was looking for, she picked up the bouquet and walked back to where Arthur was standing.
"Here's a bouquet of Heliotrope, it means devotion and eternal love." She stated as she handed Arthur the flowers. Hearing what the flowers in the older ladies hand meant, Arthur immediately knew that he had to buy them for his wife.
"They're perfect." Arthur breathed, "I'm gonna buy them." He added as he looked up from the flowers in his hands and smiled at the lady standing in front of him. He then followed the lady to the cash register and paid for them. Apparating home, Arthur couldn't have been any happier. The meaning of the flowers fit how both him and his family thought about Molly.
So this could have been better written and in mah opinion, it out alright but I did have fun writing it and that's all that matters! (:
