There Are Two Sides
Psychotic, angered darkness.
Sane, placid light.
Both fighting for true dominance,
But which one's the real parasite?
Empty lies whispered from the light.
Empty threats shouted from the dark.
Nothing but a hollow man;
Which is the one to trust?
The darkness thrives on crime;
While the light thrives on peace.
A never ending inner battle.
Locked in each other's insanity.
Together they have split the mind,
The body being a temporary prize.
There's no freedom from the dark or light;
Not when the demons reside inside.
