Adrian Pucey was once again staring at Hermione Granger as he sat across from her in the library. He couldn't get enough of watching her. He had to admit that she had grown into a lovely young woman compared to her first four years. Now here she was back for her seventh year while he was helping Professor Flitwick out with his classes. He couldn't be any happier that he had accepted the offer to come back and student teach than he was right this second. When he saw Hermione look up at him he smirked. "Nice to see that you haven't forgotten that I am here with you, Hermione."
Hermione blushed. "I could never forget that you are here with me, Adrian. After all you have been chasing after me for the last three months."
Adrian's smirk grew as he looked at the girl he intended to make his wife sooner rather than later. "I love a chase, but don't leave me behind. 'Cause girl we're both gamblin', but I'm playing for keeps. It's time like these, when patience means everything. More than anything. I told you before, Hermione, but I'll tell you again I fell for you and I intend to make you my girl."
Hermione's eyes widened slightly even as her blush grew even darker. "Adrian! I told you that I had to think about it. I'm still smarting over what Ronald did to me. I don't want people to think that I'm the type of girl who jumps from one person to the next."
Adrian shook his head as he reached across the table and grabbed a hold of one of Hermione's hands. "You could never be thought to be that type of girl, Hermione. Anyone who knows you knows that you would never jump from one person to the next. You deserve to be happy, Hermione, and I know that I can make you happy. I know that Weasley hurt you but I can promise you that I won't. I love you, Hermione, and if I have to spend the rest of my life proving that to you I will. And I'll fall for you everyday. I'll cherish the moments time can't erase. Fall into me. Fall into me, Hermione. I promise you that I will catch you."
Hermione couldn't stop herself from standing up, leaning across the table, and capturing Adrian's lips with her own. She kissed him softly but with everything he had been making her feel before she pulled back and sat back down. "You win, Adrian. Don't make me regret falling for you."
Adrian grinned and kissed Hermione's hand. "I promise you that I won't." He then sat back and watched as she finished working on whatever assignment that she was working on. He was just happy that he finally got the girl of his dreams.
