Hello everyone. Fear not, I have not forsaken my KHR story, I am simply posting this poem as a oneshot dedicated to a certain character in the Warcraft universe.

This sonnet is meant to both celebrate and mourn the end of one of Warcraft's most deep and compelling characters: Arthas Menethil. We saw him fall from grace and become dammed for eternity, first as the Lich King's chosen knight, then as the Lich King himself. To think he only wanted to save his kingdom and those he loved, but lost himself in the darkness. It's a sad story. But still, as I have read in , "there is no salvation for one so willingly dammed".

Fall to Damnation

Young prince covered in fame

His only wish was a noble deed

But he was corrupted by greed

Protecting the kingdom was his aim

...

But soon did he forsake that flame

He lost sight of his creed

Only to be deceived

As the pawn in the King's game

...

Fallen from grace

Filled with dread

He betrayed his race

...

While he sought to end the dead

He lost his pace

And became tainted in red

R.I.P. Arthas Menethil - Lich King, Paladin of the Silver Hand, and caring prince of Lordaeron.

*Sniff* Poor Arthas. Despite all he did, he really wanted to help, which only makes his fall all the more tragic. It was the first time I wrote a sonnet, and yes, I realize it's not a completely proper one, as it does not obey the metric rules of either the English sonnet, or the Italian sonnet, despite the rhymes being correctly done. Still, I just felt like I had to do it. Love it? Hate it? Drop me a review and share your opinion please. =)

On other news... I would like to express my feelings regarding over what happened in Haiti recently, as I believe no human soul could possibly be impervious to it. It was an unprecedented tragedy, and I would do anything in my power to help, if I could. So please, if you have a chance to help them, don't throw it away. Don't ignore their pleas for help, and acknowledge what happened. That is enough.
