CHAPTER 1

Luke walks down the long hallways, whistling quietly. The only reason he was at the studios was because he had heard that the Natalie Prior's daughter was at the school.

Of course, the auditions to get into the best dancing school in the world didn't actually start for another hour, but Luke figured it was better than being late. However, it wasn't like anyone could get mad even if he was late, he did own the dance company and he doubted anyone would even dare to oppose him.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, Luke could have sworn that he saw a small figure dancing around the corner. Curious, he headed towards a door that was slightly ajar. Cautiously, he stuck his head round the corner and gasped in awe at what he saw.

There was a young girl dancing in the middle of the room, twirling and leaping with such grace that Luke was pretty sure his jaw was rolling around on the floor somewhere.

She was the best dancer Luke had ever seen, and he had seen a lot of people with a lot of talent.

Suddenly, the girl pulled out of her flawless arabesque and stared at him, shocked.

It was then that Luke realised he had dropped the coffee cup he had been holding.

The girl was extremely pretty with long icy white hair pulled into a high bun and the bluest eyes Luke had ever saw.

Snapping out of his startled trance, Luke blinked, and asked, "What's your name?"

"Tris Prior, sir." the girl -Tris- answered. Her voice was soft and articulate.

"As in Natalie Prior's daughter?" Luke questioned. It would make sense if Tris was her daughter, Natalie had been an excellent dancer and admittedly, Tris was twice as good.

"Yes." Tris stated.

"Well then, I hope to see you at auditions Tris."
