A/N + Summary ~ This is after Storm Shadow died, but he had trained another before his death. The new 'person' was called Rain Ice. He was better than Storm Shadow and perhaps even Snake Eyes. He didn't know Snake Eyes personally, so he might actually beat him. Has Snake Eyes finally met his match?

At the new Cobra HQ

Rain Ice was silently mourning his master, Storm Shadow. He raised his head, with a determined look on his face. I will get revenge, he thought. He stood up, and walked to James McCullen's office.

"I'm avenging Storm Shadow," He said to Mr. McCullen. Mr. McCullen took one glance at Rain Ice's expression and knew that persuading him to stay was futile.

"Go. Take the F22 Raptor. All the other jets have been reserved. If you want, take someone with you, but promise me to be safe. You're our only chance of defeating Snake Eyes." Mr. McCullen dismissed Rain Ice.

He hurried to the hanger and climbed aboard the F22 Raptor. He started the engine and flew off into the blazing noon sun.

At the Pit

Duke and Ripcord were training when they heard an alarm. They ignored it, thinking that it was either 1, some random stranger passing by, or 2, someone else training.

Scarlett sat in her room. A near death experience with Ripcord had brought them together. She sighed. He was sweet, except that he was just so ready to throw himself into danger, plus that he was so ignorant. She stood up and went to find him.

Snake Eyes was also sitting in his room. He was mourning Storm Shadow. When he had killed Storm Shadow, he had killed both his friend and his enemy. He silently cried inside of his mask. Why did you have to kill the Hard Master? Why did you have to go to the other side, where they'd make us fight? We're almost brothers. The tears came faster now. He thought of all the times they had played together. Rolling around in the courtyard. STOP!! He told himself. He's dead and nothing can bring him back. He sighed in regret.

General Hawk was lounging in his office when his new assistant, Mary reported to him that there was a strange man about in the Pit. He sounded the alarm immediately.

"This is General Hawk speaking. There is someone wandering around. We aren't sure if he's a Cobra member, but just for safety, take your weapons. Standard Procedure." Hawk grabbed his gun and locked his new, triple layered steel door behind him. "GO GO GO!!!" He shouted at some people who were just standing by.

Rain Ice landed in the hanger and climbed out. He heard an alarm and thought that he'd been discovered. He ran though buildings, tunnels, and rooms, looking for Snake Eyes.
