A/N : This fan fiction is based off the Rosario+Vampire manga. This fan fiction takes place 2 weeks before chapter 13, but travels back further throughout the story. If you don't understand, it will all make sense soon.
Also, reviews/critiques are not required, but they would be nice! I will try to update this whenever I can.

Visitors on the Knoll
::Prologue::
::3 Months After the Second Incident::
...
"I hate them... I hate them all."
She stood there gazing beyond the acre of sunflower, admiring the sun setting in the distance, lonesome atop the hill. Her shoulder-length, dark brown hair fluttered across her face, mopping up the tears rolling down her cheeks. Her violet tinted eyes glistened from the dazzling glare of the orange stunning sunset. She held a staff, crafted with a most peculiar crescent shaped head that trapped a gem in the center, molded in place, over her chest, which was covered by her skin tight black tank top. The shirt looked too small on her, only reaching a little bit below her breasts, leaving her belly exposed. While her head hunched over, the dark orange scarf around her neck caught some of the tears, leaving tiny wet stains here and there.
"Have you finally realized that they cannot be trusted?" A voice accustomed to the young woman asked. The questioning continued. "Now do you know how much pain they have caused both you and me?"
The weeping girl circled around slowly. "Miss...Miss..." she hesitated, but finally spat out, still sobbing lightly, "Mistress Oyakata..."
Mistress Oyakata, the hooded mistress dressed in a tattered ghostly pale white robe, leisurely approached the weeping girl. She took hold of her bare shoulder with her cold hand and spoke. "Child," she lifted the girl's head with her opposite hand so their eyes would meet. "Don't cry." The girl brushed off her mistress's hand and turned away.
"For 14 years..." The mistress paused, "For 14 years I've watched over you, raising you as my own daughter ever since that terrible day." She stood beside the girl and joined her, viewing the sunset. "By now," she continued," I'd expect you to know you have my word when I say this..." She turned to her pupil, whose eyes were still glued to the sun.
"Our time for revenge," Oyakata assured the girl, "will soon come."
The girl turned to look into her caretaker's eyes that were barely visible by the casting shadow originating from the hood that hung over her skull. "Re...Revenge?" She repeated in question. Oyakata's heart sank as she caught a glimpse of the girl's tearful eyes, realizing how hurt she was, but nodded in reply.
'I can't stand seeing her like this... Those eyes...' The aged woman was lost in thought. 'They are filled to the brink with sorrow all because of him. Why did I allow him on the hill after I refused continuously? This could have all been avoided...'
The young girl diverted her eyes and nodded and nodded back slowly but surely. With her heart heavy with guild, the mistress turned away and began to descend the hill, content with her apprentice's agreement nonetheless. She took it slow, trying her hardest to be careful not to trip over her long robe.
"It's getting late, time to head home." Oyakata beckoned her pupil to follow.
"You go on ahead..." she replied, "I'll be home soon."
The assuring words her mistress had said eased her. She wiped the tears away from her face on her grey arm sleeves that shouldn't be able to do their job and keep her arms warm since they were torn just about everywhere. The girl looked up at the darkening sky and sighed.
"Revenge, huh?" she mumbled. "My lady...I'm...I'm looking forward to that."
