Chapter 1
In the middle of the night Lorelai comes downstair's in the dark into the kitchen and goes into the fridge when she hear's Rory sobbing so she listen's for a few minute's and shut's the fridge and goes over to Rory's door and put's her hand on it just standing there and listening and finally open's the door and goes over to Rory's bed and gently put's her hand on Rory's shoulder to wake her up.
''Rory hunnie wake up.'' Lorelai says gently
Rory open's her eye's and wipe's them.
''hay baby how you doing sweetie?'' Lorelai asks her
Rory sit's up and shakes her head.
Lorelai strokes the back of her head down her back and look's at her sympathically and hold's and comfort's her so she will calm down and finally lay's her down again and lay's with her and stroke's her head and rub's her back so that Rory will go back to sleep again and end's up falling asleep with her herself.
In the morning Lorelai wakes up next to Rory and gently stroke's her forehead with her thumb softly to keep her asleep then kisses her forehead and gently get's up off the bed carefully not to wake Rory and make's her way over to the door and leave's the room and closes the door gently and goes out into the kitchen and pick's up the phone to call Luke.
Over at Luke's the phone ring's
''Luke's'' he says as he pick's it up
''hey it's Lorelai.'' she tell's him
''oh hey how ya doing is everything okay?'' he asks her
''um no not really listen could you make those really crazy chocolate chip pancake's for Rory and go extra heavy on the chocolate?'' she asks him
''yea sure what's wrong?'' he asks her
''nothing it's just Rory she's breaking it off with Logan and saying no to the proposal and she's taking it really hard she cried herself to sleep last night in the middle of the night last night.'' she tell's him
''oh man so how she doing?'' he asks her
''well she's still asleep right now.'' she tell's him
''oh man okay coming up I'll bring them on by when they are done.'' he tell's her
''okay thank's Luke.'' she says
''see ya in a little bit.'' he tell's her and hang's up and get's to work on the pancake's.
Lorelai hang's up and makes herself some coffee.
Rory wakes up a little while later and comes out of her room and sit's at the kitchen table.
''hey hunnie how did you sleep coffee? Lorelai asks her and get's up and pour's her a cup.
Rory just shrug's her shoulder's.
Lorelai and comes back and give's it to her and kisses her head then sit's across from her.
''so I just called Luke and he is going to bring you some pancake's to make you feel better.'' Lorelai tell's her to try and get her to cheer up
''ugh great.'' Rory says like she really doesn't care and sip's at her coffee.
