The teacup slipped out of Narcissa Malfoy's hand and onto the kitchen floor below, shattering to pieces. She stared in shock at the disturbing content inside the letter that she was holding. Feeling lightheaded, Narcissa found a chair to seat on before reading the letter again.

Dear Narcissa Malfoy,

I would like to inform you that your husband has been having an affair for the last ten years. I would further like to enlighten you that it was not with a woman, but rather a man. A man that happens to be a half-blood werewolf, this man happens to be me.

Remus Lupin.

You may wonder why I have decided to tell you this, after so many years. I simply couldn't hold this secret anymore. Now that you are pregnant, I find myself unable to continue the relationship. The thought of ruining a family before it begun or in the process of being established is unacceptable. I would also like to inform you that Lucius is a heterosexual man nor a bisexual, he is, in fact, a gay. Your marriage to each other was a way to cover this up but that does not mean he doesn't care for you.

Though you're wondering, how could he when he's being cheating on you for ten years. It wasn't planned. Rather it was, and still is, a surprise to us that we came to be. I would like to think that I have fallen for the man and he with me, but I'm willing to but those feelings aside.

Please do not be angry with him, for his mistakes or sexuality. I hope that you would not be angry with him at all, but that is just wishful thinking.

From

Remus.

For ten years, without Narcissa even knowing, Lucius had been cheating on with not a woman but a man. A half-blood werewolf that was friends with her younger disowned cousin. To make matters worse, Lucius was gay, their marriage was to cover up his sexuality.

This couldn't be happening.

This had to be some kind of nightmare.

She needed coffee since alcohol was not an option. As Narcissa brewed her coffee instantly with her wand, she wondered how she would confront Lucius about it. After all, Remus could be lying but something told her that he wasn't.

Narcissa supposed that she could handle it in a calm, nonaccusatory way.

"Why didn't you tell me? You lowlife pig!" Narcissa screamed throwing the letter at Lucius.

So much for the calm, nonaccusatory option. Though in her defense, the moment she saw his face, she could feel anger bubbling within her. That and her hormones.

Lucius sighed, as quietly picked up and looked up at Narcissa. She was taken back on how defeated and sad he looked. Narcissa wanted to comfort him but first, she needed answers.

"I- Narcissa you must understand how difficult it is being a homosexual, especially in the Wizarding World. From the very beginning, we are told that it's sinful and even worse than being a squid. When I found out that I was gay, I hated myself every day because of it. Remus understood that, and one thing led to another and suddenly-"

"You're falling for him." Narcissa sighed. "Why didn't you tell me? Did you really want to enter this marriage based on lies? If you truly cared for me, why keep me in the dark?"

Lucius hesitated before telling the truth. "I was afraid that you would be disgusted with me and would tell everyone about it. I would've then been disowned and shunned from the pureblood society."

Narcissa scoffed. "You think so little of me?"

"No, I just let my fears get the best of me," Lucius said. "Could you forgive me?"

"We'll see."
