Hestia Jones was curled up in a red, comfy armchair. She had on her fluffy socks and a warm blanket. She looked like the epitome of relaxed - when really, she wasn't. If you looked at her face, you'd see red-rimmed and puffy eyes with stains of tears still upon her pale cheeks. A block of Honeyduke's Best Chocolate sat on the table beside her and every one in a while she would break some off then take a bite.

It felt strange without him. Without Fabian.

When she had found out, she hadn't bursted into tears. She'd frozen, then muttered something about needing to go before she apparated out of the headquaters. She felt horrid - like a piece of her heart had been chipped off. Knowing he fought off five death eaters with his brother made her proud, but it didn't heal the hurt.

Every time she exhaled, it would come out shaky and a sob teared at her throat. She still felt as though his presence was still there in her lounge room - laying sprawled out across the lounge as he did so often. He could always make her laugh by some absent-minded comment, but it would be a long while before even a flicker of a smile graced her face again.

They didn't own a television, so they usually entertained one another - usually about light things before they somehow began screaming about something or another, which usually ended with him sleeping on the couch.

So many things would be leaving her life - the fights, laughing fits, distastrous cooking, wrestling over the last piece of chocolate, shagging on the kitchen table, all of it because Fabian was gone, and there would be no more new memories with him.
