No one can be bitter all the time. Not even Beca Mitchell.

She was a bit isolated her first couple weeks at Barden. Her roommate was busy ignoring her. Her dad was busy doing things Beca doesn't care about. Her high school friends were busy actually enjoying their college experience.

Beca was busy skipping classes, busy feeling bad about herself, and busy daydreaming. Because even Beca Mitchell was a girl.

The only person who hadn't ignored her was nameless and famous. Famous for singing cheesy 80 songs straight to her. Famous for being just weird enough. Famous for being in all of her embarrassing daydreams while she listened to her embarrassing music.

Because Beca Mitchell, the girl who didn't believe in love, listened to "Love Story," too. "You Belong with Me" was her theme song in high school. "Enchanted" was her theme song now. Even though the two hadn't technically met yet.

Because this stranger might actually be busy, too.

He might be busy falling in love. He might be busy doing things Beca doesn't want to think about. He might be busy actually enjoying his college experience.

Beca was busy wondering what falling in love with him would be life. Beca was busy thinking about things she shouldn't be thinking about. Beca was busy dreaming about enjoying her college experience.

Because Beca can lie to everyone. Beca can tell her old friends she doesn't want to be in a relationship. Beca can tell her dad she doesn't want to be here. Beca can tell the world she doesn't need them. But she can't make those things true.
