Oh how she loved this room. This large, spacious soundproofed room.
Here she could scream until her heart was content. Cry until she no longer felt the need or desire.
And if she needed a glass of water to soothe her throat, or a tissue to wipe her nose, it would appear for her.
Perfect by nature
Icons of self indulgence
Just what we all need
More lies about a world that
But oh how she hated what lay outside her sanctuary.
How she hated who lay outside.
How she hated who she was outside.
Never was and never will be
Have you no shame don't you see me
You know you've got everybody fooled
She hated how she had to act.
She hated how she had to talk.
She hated how she had to think.
She hated how she had to treat people.
Look here she comes now
Bow down and stare in wonder
Oh how we love you
No flaws when you're pretending
And it was awful how other people treated her.
The golden girl.
The Know-it-all.
Ask her if you have a question; she lives to help.
She's the perfect one.
She's the one the teachers love.
She's the one who can deal with anything; go to her with your problems.
Of course, she had no life. She was always available to help. It wasn't like she had her own work to do.
But now I know she
Never was and never will be
You don't know how you've betrayed me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled
But it was all fake.
That wasn't who she was.
That wasn't what she was.
She wasn't the golden girl. She didn't know it all. She didn't want to help. She wasn't perfect. The teachers didn't love her. She couldn't deal with her own life. How the hell was she supposed to be responsible for others?
Without the mask where will you hide?
Can't find yourself- lost in your lie
She screamed as loud as she could, safe in the knowledge that no one would hear her.
I know the truth now
I know who you are
And I don't love you anymore
She hated herself for it.
For the lies; for the act; for the false care she both gave and received.
It never was and never will be
You don't know how you've betrayed me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled
It was there that he found her.
She was sprawled across the floor, her hair like a halo around her head—soaked in her life's blood.
It never was and never will be
You're not real and you can't save me
Somehow now you're everybody's fool
