Disclaimer: Sadly it's not mine. But someday…
There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and the sunshine lent a perfect essence to everything. A gentle breeze ruffled the flowers and gowns of all in attendance. It was one of the prettiest days Munchkin Land had seen in years. The back lawn of the Governor's Mansion was pristine.
All the guests "oohed" and "awed" over the lovely weather and the lovely scenery and the lovely this or that.
Galinda pranced around in her pretty pink dress greeting guests and making idle chit chat. Boq wheeled Nessarose around. He wore a green tux that suited him well. Nessa looked beautiful in a dress that matched Galinda's, her silver shoes peeking out from under the hem. Fiyero stood still looking nervous but excited. His tux mirriored Boq's but with more grandeur.
A few chords played by an organ instructed everyone to take their places. Fiyero rushed to his place at the front of the walkway. Galinda, Nessarose, Boq, and Avaric all took their places at the back while all the guests went to their seats.
The organ began to play. Galinda took Avaric's arm and proceeded down the isle. At the end they split one going left the other right. Boq wheeled Nessa to her place and quickly took his. Just then the organ paused. Everyone turned around to face the back. The organ resumed. Fiyero's face lit up as Frex happily walked his daughter down the isle.
Elphaba glowed emerald. She looked positively stunning. She wore her mother's lace wedding gown. Her hair hung loose down her back. There were tiny braids riddled through it with small pink flowers woven in. Galinda was right pink does go good with green. Her veil was a pretty and pure lace that rested lightly on her head without crushing the flowers. The most beautiful thing she wore though had to be the smile on her face.
As Frex let go of her arm he smiled proudly at her. She beamed at him and turned to Fiyero. He smiled his crooked smile and his hair fell in his eyes. Elphaba handed her bouquet to Galinda who couldn't have looked happier. Elphaba then turned back to Fiyero. Their hands joined and their eyes locked.
The minister then intoned, "Do you Fiyero Tiggular take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do, and always will."
"And do you, Elphaba Throp take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I-"
Elphaba then woke up with a start to her dorm room at Shiz University. Everything was as it should be. Galinda was snoring lightly and the morning sun was shining through the windows. Her simple suitcase and Galinda's mountain of luggage waited in the corner.
Elphaba wiped away a small tear. "I do and I always will."
A/N: This takes place right after I'm Not That Girl, the night before they leave for the Emerald City. I wrote it right after seeing 27 Dresses and was thinking about weddings.
