Rae pulled back from Sabin's lips, feeling like his heart was about to burst right out of his chest. He looked into the lust blown gaze of the prince, and he knew it was too late to go back from any of it now. His heart didn't want to go back.

They were still behind the inn, while virtually all of South Figaro was at the pub celebrating the new governor's residence being completed.

Rae grabbed Sabin's tank top and pulled those lips against his again. Sabin moaned and placed those strong, beefy arms around him as their tongues danced together.

Sabin growled into the kiss and nipped at Rae's lip a little.

"Never like this," Sabin whispered against his lips. "I've never... "

The prince suddenly blinked, and Rae could tell he was just a little self-conscious now.

"Hey Sabin," Rae said, reaching out a gentle hand.

"I don't know if this is right for a martial artist to do," Sabin told him conflictedly. "Not like this, so unrestrained."

"Are you saying you have doubts?" Rae asked, voice a little downcast. "Have you ever loved anyone else?"

Sabin frowned a little, but his silence was pretty loud.

"Not exactly," the prince admitted. "I mean, I love my brother, and I loved our parents. This isn't like that. I've devoted my life to training, then to saving the world. I held those things so much higher than love... "

Sabin turned away and Rae felt his heart sink, sure the rejection was coming.

"I'd like to give love a try," Sabin said gently, facing him again with a small smile. "You made me want that, with what you said. No one's ever understood me like that- when you said that you wondered if I ever felt alone when I was fighting Kefka. I did."

Sabin took Rae's hand and thumbed his fingers gently.

"You make me feel not so alone," the prince whispered, eyes burning intensely. "For the first time I think it'd be okay to love, and to be who I am. Its true... "

Rae smiled, a genuine and heartfelt smile. Sabin could melt his heart like no one else!

"When are we going to the castle?" he asked gently.

"Tomorrow," Sabin replied. "You'll love it, and you'll get to meet my brother. He'll like you, I'm sure."

"Can I have tonight with my sister?"

Sabin considered him a long moment.

"Of course," he said understandingly, before breaking into a smile and winking. "You'll be in my bed every night after this."

Rae felt a stirring below at the remark, and it wasn't quite like the shy infatuation he'd felt until now. He found himself hungry- lusty for that chiseled body.

He licked his lips and swallowed, trying to regain some composure before he spoke.

"Righto," he said, voice cracking slightly. "I look forward to it. I'll meet you at the inn in the morning."

"Sounds good," Sabin told him. "Come packed."

"I think I'll head home now. I really don't want to go back to the crowds."

"Can't blame ya," Sabin laughed. "I don't like crowds myself. You're from South Figaro right?"

"Born and raised," Rae said with pride.

"If its not personal," Sabin began carefully. "Want to show me where you grew up?"

Rae smiled brightly.

"I can do that."
