She storms right into his apartment and by the look on her face, he can tell that she's anything but amused. She throws her long, wavy hair back and gives him a piercing look. His hand reaches for the remote and he turns the TV off before his eyes shift to the purple baby basket she's carrying.

"What's up, Gabby?" he asks, the feeling of impending doom growing stronger by the second.

"I need a babysitter for today, Chief Severide." She stresses the last two words in an almost unnerving way.

He looks around, then shaking his head. "I don't see one." He knows he's playing with the fire right now. Women were always scary when they were pregnant, but with Gabriela that particular scariness had never really disappeared, not even now, a year after she'd had the baby.

She gives him a glance that could probably make icebergs melt and he raises his hands in a defensive gesture. "Why me?"

"Because you're the reason our babysitter quit."

"What did I do?"

She gives him another angry look and he starts to feel more and more like a prey in front of the lioness.

"You slept with her," she refreshes his memory, not that it really needed refreshing. He is very well aware of what he did; a hot one-night stand with the beautiful babysitter of the Caseys. Too bad there had been a small misunderstanding about the 'one-night' part. She'd wanted more. He had dropped her like a hot potato.

He gives her a defeated look and says nothing.

"I'm glad you're available, Kelly. Matt and I have plans." She gives him a smile that tells him there's no chance to get out of this. She is desperate to enjoy her day off with her husband minus the sound of a crying baby in the background. These days are probably rare.

He watches with a hint of fright in his eyes as she puts the baby basket next to him on the couch, the little worm still sound asleep in there. She begins to give him instructions about diapers, baby bottles and a pacifier that works wonders – at least in 70% of cases.

As soon as she's gone, Severide grabs the phone.

"Shay? I think I need help."
