AN: Well here is something that just popped into my brain. I tried to not make it typical.

A Discussion: One-Shot

Danny turned to knob of his teacher's classroom door. Hesitantly, he opened the door and walked in to it.

"Mr. Lancer, you wanted to see me?" He asked. He did not know the subject of this last minute meeting. Mr. Lancer had only told the teen that he wanted to see him after school for a chat.

"Ah yes, Mr. Fenton, there is something I have been wanting to discuss with you." Danny shifted his eyes. Even though the boy had no idea what William Lancer wanted to talk about, the teacher had been thinking about his student for the duration of the day and the night before.

"And what could that be?" He implored, his blue eyes

"Well, I suppose that I have inquired some recent knowledge of your, ah how do I put this?, situation and I wanted to let you know that if the simple matter of lack of time for your schoolwork is becoming an issue, that all you need to do is ask for an extension."

"Oh,' he said with relief, "that would be great!" He then switched his light expression to a darker tone. "Wait, what have you recently found out about me?"

Mr. Lancer was hoping he wouldn't have to bring up the subject, he did not want to make the boy feel uncomfortable. "Well, it seems to me that you have a lot more responsibility than I thought. You are quite the young man, Mr. Fenton." He replied, still trailing around the actual point and hoping the other would understand what he meant.

"And how do you know this?" Danny's face was stern, his eyes seemed to glare into the other's very soul.

"I may have taken a closer look at all the mayhem and chaos and realized that you are actually here to help not to destroy." He paused. "And you probably should have paid more attention to who was watching you." Danny put his face in his hands.

"But it's okay. I now understand it all." He put his hand on Danny's shoulder. "Things are going to be a lot different in this classroom, but I assure you, no one will ever gain the knowledge I have."

Danny looked up at his teacher and smiled.
