Julia Dove!

A 37 year old man named Eric Hammond enters the house of miss Julia Dove, an old lady who he helps whenever he can. Julia never had a husband and kids. Eric know almost everything about Julia, but he doesn't know that she was once a mermaid.

"Julia...are you there? I'm here to help you with the broken piano, as you asked me to last week. Julia?" says Eric.

As he walk into Julia's living room Eric almost faint as he finds Julia dead on the floor. Next to her is a bottle of poison.

"Oh, no..." says Eric in a sad voice.

He walk over to the table on the other side of the room. On the table is Julia's last letter to the world and her old mermaid-locket that Max Hamilton, the former boyfriend of Julia's close friend Gracie had given her so many years ago.

Eric reads Julia's letter. It says: "To Eric. You know that I have no relatives left and I don't know where my friends are these days and they probably don't remember me anymore so I want you to make sure I get a proper funeral and I also want you to sell everything I own and give the money to charity. Have a good life my friend. Remember me. Your friend miss Julia Samantha Dove."

Eric picks up Julia's locket.

"I've never seen a locket like this. It must be a one of a kind object. Too bad Julia's got nobody. No friends or family. An object like this belongs with someone who was close to her. No...I can't keep it. For some reason it doesn't feel right." says Eric in a low sad voice.

A few days later Eric brings the locket to a jewelry shop and sells it for almost 7000 dollars.

Eric use some of the money he got from selling the locket and Julia's other belongings to pay for Julia's funeral and gives the rest of the money to charity, just like Julia wanted to.

"I'll miss you, Julia Dove. I won't forget you." says Eric as he stand on his knees in front of Julia's grave at the funeral.

Eric place a single white flower on Julia's grave-stone before he slowly walk away.

A week later when Eric goes to Julia's house to pick up a few things that he hasn't sold yet, he finds a photo on the wall in Julia's bedroom. It's a photo of Julia and her two friends Gracie and Louise as mermaids. The same photo that's in Lousie's mermaid-locket.

"Is this...?" says Eric, who almost can't believe what he sees.

Eric take down the photo from the wall and put it into his briefcase.

"You were always a real friend, Julia. I'll keep your secret forever." says Eric with a smile.

Eric keeps the photo as a memory of Julia and never shows it to anyone, being a loyal friend and never tells anyone about Julia's biggest secret.

The End.
