4 years after the events of Akira Kaneda was trying to liv a peaceful life with Kei and Kai until Tetsuo returns and begins his rampage. With the help of the help of the espers and his newly discovered powers Kaneda sets off to stop Tetsuo for good.

We see a man in an orange biker suit being wheeled in on a stretcher. His name is Kaneda. He is unconscious with a bandage wrapped around his head.

KANEDA NARRATOR:

It's been 4 years since the explosion that wiped out most of Neo-Japan.

Cue the explosion scenes from Akira 1

INT Hospital

Close on Kaneda

Kaneda looks like he is suffering from a nightmare.

KANEDA NARRATOR:

The military took my best friend Tetsuo away.

Cue the scene from Akira 1 where the military Takes Tetsuo

Cue the scene from Akira 1 where Tetsuo is put in the cat scan.

KANEDA NARRATOR

They did these experiments on him that unlocked amazing powers in him…..but things went wrong.

Cue scenes from Akira 1 where Tetsuo rampages through Neo Tokyo.

KANEDA NARRATOR

Some people thought he was a god

Cue scenes from Akira 1 where people start cheering and shouting "It's Lord Akira"

KANEDA NARRATOR

Others thought he was Armageddon.

Cue scenes from Akira where the military attacks Tetsuo.

KANEDA NARRATOR

Then Akira intervened destroying most of Neo Tokyo in the process.

INT. Hospital

Close up on Kaneda's face.

KANEDA NARRATOR

But that's not all that's changed.

Kaneda's eyes quickly open.

EXT. Hospital parking lot

Cut to several shots of Kaneda's bike turning on.

Cut to random explosions in Neo Tokyo.

Cut to Kaneda with Kei and Kai

Cut Kaneda shooting at random spots with his laser gun.

Cut to military soldiers shooting at an unseen force that knocks them back.

Cut to Kaneda yelling at someone off-screen.

Cut to Kyoko and Kaneda.

KYOKO

Cut to Kaneda riding his bike he unexpectedly crashes into the street in front of an unseen figure with a familiar voice.

TETSUO

You just never learn do you?

KANEDA

Actually I do.

Black screen

We hear weird sounds and sounds of people being knocked over.

KANEDA

TETSUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
