"You're on my mind, had another sleepless night, and all I think about is how I want you here and now."

'Mitchie?'

'Shane? What are you doing here? I thought you were with Tess?'

'I needed to see you.'

'But ... Tess?'

'I needed you.' Mitchie smiled softly and took Shane's outstretched hand. Even if she knew he was doing wrong, she couldn't be angry at him.

'Come inside.' She said, leading him through the doorway and onto the sofa.

'What's up?'

'I missed you.' He pouted. Mitchie laughed.

'I saw you yesterday?!'

'But Tess's boring.' He whined like a five year old, making Mitchie laugh again.

'What do you want me to do?'

'Make me forget, Mitchie.' He said softly, caressing her hair.

'Easily done.' She smiled seductively, pulling him again up towards the bedroom, giggling.

Fade. To. Black. Fade. To. Black. Fade. To. Black.

Mitchie's eyes fluttered open and she sighed. What a great night. She felt someone stroke her head and she smiled, cuddling her way into Shane's chest.

'I love you Mitchie.' He whispered. Mitchie's heart stopped.

'You … you what?' She said sitting up.

'I love you.'

'No. No no no no no. You can't.'

'Why not?'

'You love Tess.'

'I don't love Tess.'

'You love Tess.'

'I love you.'

'But you're marrying Tess.'

'I'll stop the wedding.'

'You shouldn't be here.'

'I should.'

Mitchie got up and started gathering Shane's clothes, throwing them at him.

'I love you, not Tess.'

'You love Tess.' She repeated, tears forming in her eyes as she gathered up the last of Shane's clothes and pushed him towards the door.

Shane stopped her, put his arms around her and kissed her forehead softly.

'You love Tess.' Mitchie whispered.

'I love you.' He stressed, kissing her head again.

'You can't.'

'Why not.'

''Cause.'

'Not a good reason.' He smirked, kissing her, on the mouth this time.

'Tess is gonna kill me.'

'I won't let her.' He kissed her again.

'Marry me Mitchie.'

'What?!'

'Marry me.'
