Well now that I have that off my chest, the only characters I own so far are yuki, ookami.

It was a normal day in the feudal era , well, as normal as it could be. This story doesn't start with Inuyasha. No, it starts somewhere else, near Kouga's cave….

Kouga was just leaving his cave, when he bumped into Yuki. "What do you want this time, Yuki?" he asked. Yuki was a wolf demon, as well as Kouga. But they were a different species. Kouga was a forest wolf, while Yuki was an artic/forest wolf. Yuki was about the same height as Kouga, with one eye that was green and the other black. She also had shoulder length silver/ black hair, and wore a black battle kimono. Strapped on her back was a shakujou on the tip of the crescent was a Shikon shard. Yuki smiled.

"Nothing Kouga! Just payback for what you did to Ookami." Yuki said sheepishly. A black wolf came up beside Yuki. "Um....I...didn't mean it!" Kouga explained.

"Well, Ookami thought you did!" Yuki said as she smirked. "But since I knew you for so long, I'll let you go with one warning.....TOUCH MY WOLF AND DIE!" she yelled as she hit Kouga on the head. She gave a satsified glare, and left. Yuki hopped down the cliff with faithful Ookami following. "Now we taught that kouga not to mess with us, huh?" she asked. Once they reached the bottom, something came out of nowhere and started to attack the two travelers. Soon, Yuki realized it was one of Naraku's demons. Smirking, she grabbed the Shakujou and began fighting it.

Back at the well, Kagome emerged and was walking down the path to the village. Humming lightly to herself, she sensed a Shikon shard. "Oh, I have to tell Inuyasha!" she gasped as she ran to the village. Her heavy backpack was slowing her down, so she decided to yell instead of finded Inuyasha. Kagome called out his name as loud as she could, and seconds later, Inuyasha came running towards her.

"What?!" he asked harshly.

"A shard!" she cried.

"What? Where?" he demanded. She pointed in the direction of the shard and Inuyasha picked her up and ran.

Yuki took another blow to the shoulder. "Damn it!" she yelled as her Shakujou cut through the demon again, but it had no affect. Ookami was attacking the demon, but kept getting knocked away. Yuki suddenly ran forward and leapt over the demon's head, striking the demon right on the skull. Unfortunatly, the demon slashed Yuki across her stomach as she cut the demon's head off. She the blacked out because of her wound.

"Hurry Inuyasha!" Kagome cried.

"I am going as fast as I can!!" he yelled. Moments later they arrived at the scene. Kagome hopped down.

"Careful! The demon is still alive. " Inuyasha warned. Kagome looked closely at the demon.

"Well, this big one is dead. " She walked to the other demon when something growled. "Ahh!" she screamed when she saw a wolf in front of her.

"What is it, Kagome?" Inuyasha asked as he ran to the scene.

"The wolf scared me.. The demon that's behind him is alive and has a shard. " she explained.

"So we take the shard?" Inuyasha asked.

"No, we have to help her!" Kagome yelled.

"Why? "

"Help or.... SIT BO--" Kagome started to say, but Inuyasha put a hand on her mouth.

"Fine, fine, I'll help." Inuyasha mumbled. After many painful bites, Inuyasha picked up Yuki and carried her to the village.
