Because I could not search for Love
Parody of Emily Dickinson
Because I could not search for Love-
He instead found me-
And made the two hearts one-
For all eternity.
Love slowly crept-unnoticed by me
And He turned
All I had thought as fiction
Into reality.
He took me where the unknown dwelled-
Always faced- in fear-
And there true love, a distant fantasy
Enveloped me.
Time flew by- much too quickly-
The church bells now rang out-
As the white dress floated upon-
The fallen rose petals.
The rest of the world seemed to pause
In that blissful moment
As it watched the two hearts unite
For forever more.
Many years have passed since then,
Yet it seems like yesterday
When I first felt the touch of love,
And found Harmony.
