Ryou sat alone in the darkest room in his home. He was wondering when Bakura would come back and where he was. All the better he isnt here.... Ryou thought. He wished he had never accepted the ring from his father. Now it was stuck to his neck and the evil spirit of it was, well evil and mean. Suddenly Ryou heard the door open then get slammed shut. Dammit, Ryou thought to himself. Bakura walked in swaying as if he had been drinking.
"Eh!" Bakura said in slurred speech. "Why are ya sitting in this dark room?"
"Hoping you wouldn't find me." Ryou replied.
"As long as you have that ring around you neck I can find you anywhere!" Bakura said as he hit Ryou across the face.
Ryou cried in pain as he was knocked of his chair. He lay on the floor while Bakura returned into the ring. Ryou didn't dare think anything, knowing Bakura could hear his thoughts. If he closed the link, Bakura would beat him again. Ryou sighed aloud. What would he do? What COULD he do? He wondered as he went to sleep; How do I get rid of Bakura??
The next morning Ryou woke up to find the ring on the bedside table. Odd, Ryou thought, I couldn't have taken it off, so who did? Bakura wouldn't. Without further thought he threw the ring outside onto the lawn. He went downstairs to make breakfast.
"So, you thought you could get rid of me?" A voice behind Ryou asked. Ryou whirled around to see Bakura sitting on a chair.
"What? How did you." Ryou stammered.
"Surprised?" Bakura said calmly. "You set me free, Im as good as a living soul now" Bakura continued. Suddenly the Ring appeared around Ryou's neck.
"What!" Ryou stared at the ring in disbelief.
