The Moon Child
Somewhere deep in the Kirigakure, the night air was filled with tension. Running in the direction of the village gates was a little girl who had light blue hair and tears shimmering in her grey eyes; she was wearing a blue top with black pants and had a small gray bag sling across her back. It held some rations of food, extra clothing and whatever else she would need on her journey.
Someone was after her now.
The last moment she had with her mother flashed in her mind. Her mother had given her a necklace and told her "Tsukiko, they found me. I want you to listen to me carefully, you have take this necklace and protect it with your life. Go to Konohagakure and find Mikoto Uchiha, she'll take care of you. Be careful, they are going to be after you now. Whatever happens to me here, don't try to avenge me; I want you to be happy and revenge won't help you do that. Whenever you falter remember that I love you so very much. Now run away, my little one."
With great hesitation, she listened to her mother and ran away. She knew that the likelihood of her mother surviving was non-existent and it filled her with despair, but she was determined to follow her mother's dying wishes. She knew her mother wouldn't want her to put her self on the path of vengeance, so she made a vow to herself that she would not avenge her mother. Her mother wouldn't want her to spend her life consumed with revenge and hatred. Her mother taught her better than that; she would want her daughter to live her life constantly improving herself to be the best person she could possibly be.
The only thing she didn't understand was why her mother gave her a necklace of all things. She know it was important to her mother since she never took it off, but she assumed it was a sentimental trinket. However, it must be extremely important if she was to protect it with her life. It was a blue sphere hung on a a silver cord. At the top of the sphere it was light blue and it faded into many darker shades of blue as it went to the bottom. Inside the pendent there was a grey glow. She would soon realize that it reacted to her emotions; it would become darker when she was feeling negative emotions, and lighter when she was feeling positive emotions.
There was much she didn't know and this necklace would be the key to unlocking her true powers and changing her life forever…
