A.N I don't own harry potter (unfortunately lol ) Ok this is my first attempt at a small one shot so hopefully its not too bad
Harry jumped of his broom and fell to the ground. The ordeal he had just faced with the dragon had left him exhausted mentally and physically. He was tired of the triwizard tournament already. Tired of being put in dangerous situations that he was suppose to figure out for himself whilst the other 3 contestants had 3 years more magical education than he did. He was tired of the whispers that followed him down the halls, of the suspicious looks he was receiving from the hufflepuff's because he was supposedly stealing there moment in the spotlight (which if they had bothered to ask him he would have told them he would rather be a spectator than participating in the tournament, not that they would believe him). Although he figured he could have handled this if one of his best friends had stuck by him. The moment his name had came out the cup and he saw the look on Ron's face he knew he had lost his best friend. He couldn't believe that one of the only people he had opened up to and shared in the adventures of the last three years would turn around and call him a liar and wouldn't listen when he tried and tried to explain that he never put his name in the cup. There was no use dwelling on this now thought Harry. He was planning on going and having a nice warm bath and figuring out the clue from the dragon egg he had just received. Just as he was about to leave the tent in walked Hermione and Ron. Ron was looking nervously at the ground. He looked up a few times and opened his mouth as if to say something but then closed it and looked back to the ground. Harry just stood there waiting for Ron to say something. He wasn't going to make it easy for Ron by saying anything. Eventually after a few minutes Ron looked up and said "you would have to be nuts to put your name in the goblet." Harry stood there astonished after all this time that's how he chose to apologize. Eventually he replied "I told you I didn't put my name in the goblet." and left it at that. The three of them left the tent and headed towards there common room.
He may have accepted Ron's apology that didn't mean that harry was going to jump straight back to how his friendship with Ron was before. If Ron noticed that harry wasn't as open with him as he was before he never said anything and if harry noticed that Ron put in a lot of effort to get the friendship back to the way it was he never said anything. Not that he didn't appreciate it.
