The Singled Out Brother

A/N: I recently got into Star Wars:The Clone Wars and I just had to write this story. Also, can someone help me on how to update a story? I end up making it a whole new story and not a chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything Star Wars. I only own General Cera and clonetroopers Crash, Hacker, Lock, and Craft.

Cera had a habit of walking the halls barefoot with nothing but what she wore to bed and obviously her lightsaber. It had been that way ever since her padawan days. An attempt to familiarize her surroundings. This particular night was a bit different. Seeing as it was nearly four in the morning, almost everybody was asleep. She turned the corner on the way back to her private quarters when she saw a trooper with his head between his legs. She couldn't hear him, but she knew he was crying.

Cera walked a little closer to stand in front of the trooper and got on her knees. "Trooper, do you need to talk to someone, or would you rather me just be here while you let it out?" Said trooper looked up at her. Enough that she could see that tattoo on his face. Dogma. She didn't know him but her men, Iota Squad, did by word of mouth. The 'oddball' of the 501st. He was usually seen alone unless on the field fighting. Most of the clonetroopers had seen Dogma be made fun of but few, if any, defended him.

What surprised her was Dogma suddenly held onto her, crying into her shoulder harder. This wasn't the first time she comforted a clonetrooper. She lightly rubbed his upper back, humming the lullaby her mom used to sing to her. Neither was sure how long they stayed like that. But it was almost dawn when Dogma felt he couldn't cry anymore. He realized what he was doing and scrambled up to stand at attention. "Sorry about that sir. It won't happen again." "It's alright trooper. What's your name? Not your number." "Dogma sir. Of the 501st. "General Cera Luxley of Iota Squad. Walk me to my quarters Dogma. We could use some food and kaf after last night. You're welcome to join me and my squad."

That surprised Dogma and it showed. The Iota Squad was known for being ruthless. Each member had been handpicked by General Luxley and the recently deceased General Kingan. "Are, are you sure sir? I thought your squad only stuck to themselves." "All clones stick to the battalion or squad they were transferred to Dogma. Now come, my quarters aren't too far from here." He nodded, still surprised.

"Lead the way to your barracks. We both know you rather not be out in your sleepwear." He was amazed by the fact the 501st barracks were on the other side of the building. Had he really run so far? "Here we are sir." "I'll wait-." Cera was interrupted by the door opening, showing Captain Rex. "Dogma, where have you, oh. General Luxley." Rex stood at attention, along with the other troopers in the room. "Sir!" "At ease gentlemen. Captain Rex, please let General Skywalker know clonetrooper Dogma is with me if he is needed." Rex looked like he was going to say something but a call coming from Anakin stopped him. "Will do General." Rex gave Dogma a worried look before heading off. "I'll wait out here and then we can head to meet with my squad. The door barely closed before Dogma was bombarded with questions. "Where were you last night Dogma?" "Why were you with General Luxley?" "What possessed you to leave like that?" Dogma grabbed a fresh bodysuit, socks, and underwear before heading to the locker room. "I don't have to answer any of your questions," he said.
