A/N: Sorry it's short...

The tension that surrounded the Akiyama household that evening was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Mio Akiyama had to practically force her green tea down her throat, while Tsumugi Kotobuki simply sat there with a tiny smile on her lips, calm and collected as always. Sitting across the table were Mio's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Akiyama. While Mio's father seemed only slightly perturbed about the situation at hand, Mio's mother had an expression of total disgust. Her entire body shaking, Mio placed the tea cup down in front of her and sighed heavily.

"...So how long have you two been dating, did you say?" Mrs. Akiyama asked sharply towards Tsumugi, who fortunately remained unshaken in her stance.

"Six months." Tsumugi replied, holding up five fingers on her right hand and her index finger on her left hand. Although it was a bit difficult to tell, Mio could sense the growing hostility between her mother and Tsumugi; they both wanted to keep Mio for themselves, albeit for different reasons. Her father, on the other hand, remained blissfully unaware of the heavy tensions and clapped his hands on his knees as if to gain everyone's attention.

"Well, I must say...we never had expected for a second that our daughter would be interested in girls...I was rather shocked when she told me..." Mr Akiyama spoke up.

"Well, Mr. Akiyama, your daughter is definitely what I would consider a 'beautiful gem in a cave of charcoal stones'." Tsumugi replied, nodding her head, "I love her very much...and she loves me!" She tossed a rather sinister look at Mrs. Akiyama, who immediately tensed up. Was she trying to piss her off on purpose, now?

"You don't do drugs, correct? You don't drink or hang out with the yankees downtown?" Mrs. Akiyama snapped.

"...Just because I have blonde hair doesn't mean I'm a yankee..." Tsumugi replied without a hint of emotion.

Mrs. Akiyama cringed; this girl was good. Too good.

"...What do your parents do for a living, Kotobuki-san?"

Tsumugi sheepishly scratched her chin. "Uh...well...my daddy is the owner of a rather large company, I believe...I do not get to see him much, and he speaks very little of his job whenever he visits me, as he would rather focus on being with me at those times, so I don't know much about it..."

Mrs. Akiyama raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "You don't even know your own father's occupation...? Just how much money does he make in a year, anyway?" She was definitely looking for something to use as evidence to try and convince Mio to dump the blonde girl. Whatever Tsumugi said next would hopefully be valuable for her 'case'. Mio had still yet to say a word.

"Well, considering our annual taxes, the paychecks for all of our indentured servants, the price to keep all of our villas around various points in the world in operation, the cost of owning three private jets, all of those custom-made designer clothes we purchase every year...I'd say our yearly income most definitely comes in somewhere around 2 to 3 billion yen...at the least."

Both Mr. Akiyama and Mrs. Akiyama nearly suffered heart attacks on the spot. "VILLAS?!! SERVANTS?!! PRIVATE JETS?!!! CUSTOM-MADE DESIGNER CLOTHES?!!T...T...TWO TO THREE BILLION YEN...?!!!! YOU'RE STINKIN' RICH, AREN'T YOU?!!!"

Tsumugi nodded, blushing furiously. Mio sighed; her parents were such an embarrassment sometimes.

Suddenly, without warning, Mio's parents got down on their knees and bowed their heads to Tsumugi. "Please take care of our beloved daughter for us, Kotobuki-san," they stated loudly in unison.

'THEY GAVE UP PRETTY EASILY...!!!' Mio thought, terribly shocked by what she was seeing.

Pressing her palm to her mouth, Tsumugi just chuckled to herself, both relieved and overjoyed to have finally obtained victory...
