Nation Carrying 2009

"Sweden, If it alright with you. I want to be the one carrying you this year instead of you carrying me." Finland said calmly, he noticed the taller Nation's confused expression, and gave him a stern look.
"For the last eleven years we have lost to Estonia." Finland stated firmly and he was pretty serious about this sport after all it was first introduced in his country, but also introduced Nation carrying to his fellow Nations which is based off of Wife Carrying. Not to mention at times he can be pretty competitive and this year Finland vowed to be different."I want to win this year, Sweden. I will carry you and win this contest. Plus when we do win there will be some more alcohol to be had for you weigh more than me."
Sweden nodded in agreement and if his wife wishes to carry him it was okay.
"Okay." Sweden said in a low voice, Finland smiled brightly, and placed a hand on his chest.
"I think the Estonian-style carry will be the best one. Plus it will be pretty ironic too." Finland commented happily and he hugged Sweden tightly. "We will beat everyone and win the prize of alcohol. Plus the sweet taste of victory."
Finland had decided for Nation Carrying that instead of only having beer as an option that the winner would chose the alcohol of their choice for not every Nation enjoyed beer.
Sweden kissed the shorter Nation faintly on the lips for as long as his wife is happy than nothing else mattered and he didn't care about who did the carrying. Whether it was him or Finland.
"Besides it is Nation carrying so it doesn't matter who is carrying who at all unlike the Wife carrying that the humans do." Finland said smoothly and he smiled happily. Sweden wondered why the shorter Nation cared so much about winning, but did not really matter as long as Finland was happy.

Wife carrying is a sport in which male competitors race while each carrying a female teammate. The objective is for the male to carry the female through a special obstacle track in the fastest time. The sport was first introduced at Sonkajärvi, Finland.
Major wife-carrying competitions are held in Sonkajärvi, Finland (where the prize depends on the wife's weight in beer), Monona, Wisconsin; Minocqua, Wisconsin; and Marquette, Michigan.
