Late one night the pups were trying to go to sleep but, they could not. They tried everything. Watching Movies, Drinking warm milk courtesy of Bettina, Even running around in circles. Until they decided they didnt want to sleep. It was around 4 in the morning. Ryder couldnt sleep as well and joined the pups downstairs. After pondering through many differnet ideas of what to do Ryder comes up with an idea "Poker Night" They would play poker til dawn then go to sleep. Ryder goes into the other room and grabs an U-shaped table along with 7 chairs. "Okay pups im the dealer, now lets play some cards." All the pups gathered around the table. "Now since we dont have any money we will use these. As Ryder dumps a huge pile of doggy treats on the table. "Everybody starts out with 25 treats" said Ryder shuffling the cards. Ryder then deals out the cards two cards to each pup. Then lays down two cards face up on the table. They were: Queen of Clubs and King of Diamonds. The pups all looked at their cards and decided how much their starting bid should be.
Chase: Ace of Spades & 7 of Hearts Skye: 2 of Clubs & 10 of Spades Rubble: 9 of Diamonds & 9 of Clubs Rocky: Jack of Hearts & Queen of Spades Zuma: 3 of Spades & 6 of Hearts Marshall: King of Hearts & Queen of Diamonds
The pups each make their starting bet of 2 treats. Ryder lays down the 3rd card called The Flop. 6 of Diamonds
The pups each put in 5 treats.
Rubble folds.
Here is "The Turn" as Ryder laid down the next card. 4 of spades
Zuma folds. Skye folds. Chase, Rocky, and Marshall bet 10 treats.
Here is "The River" as Ryder threw down the final card. King of Clubs.
Marshall tries to hold his poker face and goes "All in"
Chase folds.
Rocky matches Marshall and goes "All in"
"Okay pups show your cards." said Ryder to Marshall and Rocky.
Rocky you have Jack of Hearts and Queen of Spades that gives you 2 pair.
Marshall you have King of Hearts and Queen of Diamonds that gives you 3 Kings and 2 Queens. Thats a Full House!
Marshall Wins! says Ryder as Marshall slides all the dog treats to his side of the table. As he looks around the table he sees all the pups disappointed faces. He looks at his treats and says "You know what?! Treats for everyone!" as he picks up the treats and tosses them in the air as everyone rushes over and chows down on all the treats. After their feeding frenzy was over al the pups were fast asleep on the floor. Ryder looks outside and the sun is coming up. It was morning.
"Ill let you pups sleep in. Goodnight Pups."
