Author's note: I know I have two other stories I should be working on. And I will get back to them soon. However I was hit with this muse when I saw those pics of Dolph and AJ around Paris (specially those AJ posted on her twitter of them in front of the Eiffel Tower). This along with Twitter itself playing its part in the rumor mill and saying when Punk comes back, he's gonna get involved in the WHC Title picture thus the return of AJPunk (which I highly doubt sad to say) is the inspiration for this story. So just sit back, relax, and I hope you enjoy this new journey I'll take you on.

Prologue: The beginning or the end?

This is suppose to be the most important, most happiest day of her life. The day she's dreamed of ever since she was a little girl, sitting in her mother's lap watching as Cinderella married Prince Charming and rode off into the sunset in their white horse-drawn carriage.

Yet, standing in front of her own, real life Prince Charming, where was that feeling of happily ever after? Instead, in its place was nothing but this overwhelming feeling of anxiousness, dread, and... and sadness. That's not normal. She isn't suppose to be feeling such negative emotions on the day of her wedding. She's suppose to be jumping with joy, knowing that in just a few minutes she's going to be married to the man she loves, right?

She wishes she can play the ignorant card; pretend she doesn't understand where these feelings are coming from and why she's all of a sudden having doubts about marrying this man who's treated her like nothing but a queen from the start of their relationship.

But she can't. Because she knows exactly why, and it's all because a certain voice of the voiceless decided to come blazing back into her life, creating chaos without a care in the world. Stirring feelings and dreams long thought gone from her heart and soul. It feels like a lifetime ago when she pictured him being the one standing across from her instead of the one now there (in reality, it was only a year ago when she dreamed of being Mrs. Phillip Brooks).

No, no, no. She needs to put a stop to these thoughts right this instance. Those fairy tales of marrying a tattooed Prince Charming are long gone. Dead and buried six feet under the day she woke up alone in their hotel room; a note on the pillow beside her that simply read "Goodbye".

No, this right here. This is the real fairy tale. And she's not going to let some punk kid from Chicago take it away from her. She is going to marry this man who started off as nothing more than a coworker WWE placed her in a storyline with and end it with him as her soon to-be husband.

"Do you, April Jeanette Mendez, take Nicholas Theodore Nemeth, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer for poor, as long as you both shall live?

This is it. This is the moment she's waited for all her life. The moment she's envisioned since that night in Paris when Nick got down on one knee and proposed to her in front of the Eiffel Tower.

She knew in her heart that whatever decision she made from this second forward would change the course of her life for good. A decision she would have to live with for the rest of her life. She just hoped and prayed the next words out of her mouth would be ones her heart would be able to live with.

"I d..."
