Cupid cures cancer
Cupid, the god of Love, had been walking around Greece admiring the flowers. As he entered Athens, he saw something that he really didn't like to see.
Someone sick.
He walked over and helped the sick man to his home, and asked what he could help with. The man replied with, "It's fine, young man." Cupid shook his head, worried for the man.
"I ask sir, what is ailing you? Surely I may be able to help you of your illness?"
"Heart Cancer." Cupid tilted his head.
'What is this cancer? The way he said it, it surely isn't any constellation or god I may know.' "Sir, may I ask, what is cancer?" Cupid questioned. The man explained what cancer was to Cupid, who seemed to be in awe and worry.
Once the sick man had finished, Cupid nodded. "Is there anyway to cure you of this cancer?"
"Yes, but unfortunately they're all too dangerous for someone as old as me. And I don't have that kind of euros." The man sighed. Cupid's shoulders dropped in sadness.
"If only, dear sir, I could help you. What do you wish I may do for you in you're troubled times?"
"Maybe, since you seem young enough, try to obliterate cancer or any other kind of life threatening illness from the world?"
"Yes! I shall do that sir." Cupid nodded. The man led the god of love out the door and wished him luck on his mission.
So there Cupid left, travelling throughout Greece and the ruins of Rome for signs of anything that may cure cancer. Throughout his journey, he was gathering information on the different forms of cancer, how much the treatment was for each type, and whether some were curable or not.
With this type of info, he began making elixrs (With the help of one of the gods) and finding ways to cure cancer without the harmful radiation. He wanted to save that man.
Once he found the means to cure all the cancers possible, he went back to the sick man. To his heartbreak, the old man with the heart cancer had passed away. While Cupid was sad, he took this chance to be able to save almost any he knew who had cancer and hadn't went to radiation for cure.
After his journey of saving almost everyone who was near death of cancer, and managing to find multiple ways to prevent the illness, Cupid went to visit the man in the underworld with permission of Hades.
