Scanvenger, Survivor

I'm meant to be a scavenger, searching out for my food. Instead I waited around, weak of hunger, when the boy attacked. His Jolteon, throwing out a powerful attack, noticed that I needed food, but he couldn't stop the attack. I was doomed.

I flapped my weak wings, hoping for a short flight. Instead I stayed put, the attack hitting me.

And then - pain. I ached and couldn't move.

The boy cheered, happy to have beaten me, but the Jolteon poked at me, uttering words of hope.

The boy saw me laying there, half unconsious and unable to move. I felt the ball's powerful beam suck me up inside. I was now officially caught.

I could feel the boy running, but to where, I didn't know.

I remember seeing Chanseys. I was taken out of the PokeBall. Then the Chanseys stuck me on a strecher, pushing it and me into a strange room.

"Spear. Spearow." I weakly managed to cry out. I was crying, not knowing if I could survive this.

I was put to sleep, my eyes saw nought but black. I heard strange voices, talking about me and how I was doing.

How was I doing? Would I... die?

I had to survive this. I just had to.

I lost consiousness.

Then I woke up. I didn't ache anymore. My wings had obviously been broken, but two sticks were helping to keep them from bending and folding. It would help me to heal faster. The rest of me was fine.

I was a survivor...

~Epilogue~

"Want to leave and go to your home?" Brown (the boy trainer) asked the spearow.

"Spearow, spear, ow!" >You helped me. I will stay with you. Brown walked off, Spearow and Jolteon by his side. His face beamed with happiness and pride.
