Laughter

They want to hear us laughing, a sound that warms the heart
They want to show us their beauty and their art
They hope that it will please us, make us smile in glee
And I can hear the laughter, trailing after me

Hear their joyful laughter, so warm and so carefree
Hear the mirthful banter, flowing all round me
Hear their church bells ringing, next to the sea
And I can hear the laughter, trailing after me

See the windswept meadow, watch the pretty lark
See the happy children, all playing in the park
See the joyful parents, whispers like the sea
And I can hear the laughter trailing after me

I walk into their city, into the sacred hall
I look around for her, she said she'd meet me there
I look and look but cannot seem, to find her anywhere
And I can hear the laughter trailing after me

Searching through the rooms, searching through the hall
Searching everywhere, anywhere at all
Search the highest mountains, search the deepest sea
And I can hear the laughter trailing after me

Run between the arches, dash back through the park
Run past the children, flee by the sea
Run as fast as I can but I cannot seem to flee
I try to escape the laughter, thats trailing after me

I feel so abandoned, I feel so alone
I can't hear you anymore, I feel so unknown
I wish I could see you, once more next to me
I can hear your laughter right next to me

Wish I could've told you, wish you could've seen
Wish you hadn't done that, wish we would've been
Wish that I could say to you, what really should've been
I can hear the laughter trailing after me

I know I am abandoned, I know I am alone
I know I have been thrown away, no compassion was ever shown
I know this because of one little thing, I know that you have won
I know I should hear laughter trailing after me...but sadly there is none

authors note- ok sorry about not writing for two days but I am extremly busy with school and stuff. This poem is about one of the TT boys going to visit one of the TT girls planets ( I'll let you try to figure out which ones). Later.
