Marinette felt the cold metal of the locker reminding her she couldn't back up. But Chloe kept moving forward.
How was she here?
Why was she here?
Marinette had seen Chloe Bourgeois leave the school with her 'friend' Sabrina. So why was she here now?
Did she just hate Marinette that much she would come after school just to attack her?
Chloe reached down and picked up the sketchbook she had previously hit out of Marinette's hand.
"Ugh, do you really need to waste all that paper on such pathetic sketches?" Chloe said flipping through the book.
"So pathetic you felt the need to steal them for the derby contest?" Marinette shoot back.
"Oh, you wanna play that game." Chloe snarled. She then started ripping out sketches one by one and stomping on them as they fell to the ground. Marinette froze as she saw all her hard work being torn to pieces.
Chloe laughed at the look on her face, "If I would have know that's all it took to put you in your place I would have done it a long time ago. Bye Maritrash!" The blond said as she flipped her hair and left.
Marinette sank to the floor and tried to pick up the torn pieces of her sketchbook. Tikki flew out of her bag and nuzzled Marinette's check comforting the broken girl. The bluenette tried not to cry ass she scooped up the remains of her work and started to head home. She was deep in thought, trying to let all of Chloe's harsh words get to her, but she couldn't help it. She looks up to see a purple butterfly heading towards her.
Oh Fuck.
"Happy thoughts!" Hissed Tikki from her bag. She saw the butterfly too.
Marinette let in a few deep breaths and remembered every time Arien complemented her designs, every time she made Alya smile, the looks on the citizens face as her and Chat sung though Paris...
The butterfly paused a few feet in front of her, before turning around a heading back the way it came. Marinette let out a breath she didn't realise she had been holding and ran home.
