A/N: Original inspiration came from the Adele song "Set Fire to the Rain". "He" is the same character from my poem Dark Angel.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Transformers franchise.
Fire Demons
As the mist disappeared,
The flickering of a flame could be seen.
Was it a friend returning?
Or was it a foe meandering?
A warning cry came from the watchtower,
The outsider's untainted appearance an illusion that fooled none.
All rushed to the barricades with their weapons raised,
They will not take any chances with him.
The approaching figure leisurely continued his way,
Untroubled by the small army waiting to end his wretched life.
Prepared to destroy the outpost,
He held two objects that could end their lives:
A bowl held close to his spark that lit his path,
And a tightly gripped scythe that glinted in the dark.
Not a sound was made by either side
As he made his choice.
He lifted the bowl into the air,
Its weak flame glowed brighter.
He smashed it upon the ground,
Shattered pieces of porcelain flew.
From it the freed fire grew,
Eager to serve its handler.
The inferno swirled and rose towards the sky,
Hiding the dark angel behind a wall of raging fire.
His face was impassive as the order was given:
"Go."
The flames roared in anticipation and attacked,
All present knew the outpost would be devoured by the blaze.
He watched with detachment,
At ease with the screams of his former people echoing around him.
A/N: Made some minor changes that hopefully make it a bit better.
