Title: "A Promise to Last"
Summary: Even when they pulled apart for air, the grin hadn't fallen off of the Middle Blocker's face. "A promise, huh," he teased, slipping his small hands from around his boyfriend's shoulders to push lightly on the setter's chest.

It hadn't been long since they had officially begun dating, but it felt like it had been forever.
In fact, it had only been four weeks; a month. Kageyama took note to count each passing day just to make sure he wouldn't forget this special day. His and Hinata's one-month anniversary. According to the girls in his class, the first month of a relationship was the most important. And celebrating making it that long was also a big deal.
Quite honestly, Kageyama didn't see why. But he chose to believe them, just this once. It was for the ginger-haired dumbass, after all.
"What was for the ginger-haired dumbass?"
Speak of the devil, the raven-haired setter thought sourly, his shoulders tensing. He turned slowly, royal blue eyes narrowing in a glare as he took in the sight of his boyfriend. Only those who knew him would have seen his scowl lessen just the tiniest bit, seen his hard gaze soften by the smallest fraction.
But anyone could have seen his tan cheeks flare bright red.
"Kageyama, are you all right?" Hinata asked, his eyebrows scrunching together in wonder and slight concern. "You're as red as a tomato! Are you feeling alright?"
"I'm fine, dumbass," the setter hissed out, sighing.
"Okay, then. Sooo, what was for the ginger-haired dumbass, again?"
Damn it.
Taking a deep breath, Kageyama put one hand behind Hinata's neck, and his free arm around the short Middle Blocker's waist. The raven pulled the spiker in close, and whispered calmly, "A promise that we'll last more than a month," before pressing his lips against Hinata's.
The ginger blushed bright red and blinked, shock overwriting his mind. But he settled into the kiss, letting a goofy grin slip into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around Kageyama's shoulders.
Even when they pulled apart for air, the grin hadn't fallen off of the Middle Blocker's face. "A promise, huh," he teased, slipping his small hands from around his boyfriend's shoulders to push lightly on the setter's chest.
Kageyama let out a rare smile, a real smile, before pecking the tip of Hinata's nose.
"Yes, a damn promise, ginger-haired dumbass."
